Do I have to be physically present in the office?
No, the amount is transferred in your bank account. They may call you to sign in the office before the refund is to be granted. Once you sign it takes another 10 working days approximately to receive the transfer in your account.
How much time does it take to get stamp duty back?
Duration is subjective to the amount and the particular office. Higher amounts warrant higher duration. Stamp duty refund may actually take around two to five months.
Will I get back my original documents after refund of stamp duty?
State Government does not return original documents in case of refund completion.
Will I get entire amount back or will there be some deduction?
If your document is registered, then registration fees will not be refunded. Maximum deduction as of today is Rs 1000/- (One Thousand Only) and Rs 200/- (Two Hundred Only) for stamp duty amount.

Will I receive GST refund?
You will get GST refund from the builder, if your builder refuses, state government has introduced provisions for filing GST refund by the property purchaser.
What option do I have if my refund gets rejected?
Yes, you may submit an appeal before the Inspector General of Registration in Pune.
